Weddin Shire Internet Connectivity Seminars

Building on its’ success over the last 18 months in providing Internet Connectivity to the farming Communities in the Weddin Shire, NB-Tec will be holding Seminars in Grenfell, Quandialla and Caragabal to advise how we can assist those in the Communities who are still seeking to obtain a better Internet Connection for Business, Education, Entertainment and Social Media applications.

The Seminars will;

  • Provide an introduction of NB-Tec Pty Ltd
  • Provide an open session for attendees to outline the issues they have with their present Internet access
  • A Description as to how NB-Tec can provide a reliable, well performing connection to the Internet using our 4G Wireless technology to resolve the current problems you are experiencing
  • Advise current trends as to how the Internet is delivering online Webinars to agricultural businesses to share profit-growing information.
  • Seek inputs from the Farming community as to their views the role evolving farm automation will play to increase productivity and profitability into the future.

Quandialla – 29 July 2020, 10.00am – 12.00 noon
Venue: Quandialla Public School – Shed

Caragabal – 30 July 2020, 10.00am- 12.00 noon
Venue: Caragabal Country Club

Limited Services at Internet Centre

To protect the health and safety of our community Weddin Shire Council are taking measures to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 by minimising face-to-face contact. 

Currently staff members of Grenfell Technology Centre will be contactable only by telephone and email.  

All services requiring in-store visitation will require a booking made via phone or email.

Internet cafe access and computer lessons will not be available for the foreseeable future.

The Services Australia Access Point is also unavailable. These services included: 

  • Self Service Terminal 
  • Telephone and Faxing 

Services Australia have put in place new provisions for customers lodging proof of ID and needing linking codes for their myGov accounts – this can be done over the phone from home.

The Services Australia Customer Wi-Fi is available 24/7

Christmas and New Years Closure

Grenfell Internet Centre will close 4:30pm Friday 20th of December 2019 and will reopen 9:30am Tuesday 7th January 2020.
